The formulation brings together warming Unani herbs such as Aqarqarha Irani, Salab Panja/Misri, Safed Musli and Gokhru with purified mineral-based preparations (Makardhwaj, Bang Bhasm, Loh Bhasm) prepared through classical Rasashastra/Kushta processing methods used in traditional Unani and Ayurvedic medicine.

ReJosh Qawi follows classical Unani formulation principles (Mizaj-based herb selection) rather than a single-ingredient approach, combining plant, mineral and purified compounds as historically compounded by hakims.

In Unani medicine, herbs like Aqarqarha and Safed Musli are classified as Muqawwi-e-Bah (vitality strengtheners), while Bhasms such as Makardhwaj and Bang Bhasm are traditional preparations used in Rasashastra for their restorative role — these require specialised purification (Tadbeer) before use.

Gokhru, Mucuna (Kaunch Beej) and Safed Musli are recognised in Ayurveda as Vajikarana herbs; Loh Bhasm is a classical iron-based Bhasma traditionally used as a general tonic; Kuchla Shuddha is Nux vomica processed through Shodhana specifically because the raw herb is toxic.

From a modern lens, several included botanicals (Gokhru/Tribulus, Safed Musli, Mucuna) are studied for their traditional association with male vitality, while the mineral-based components fall outside conventional nutrition science and are included strictly per classical, licensed Unani/Ayurvedic pharmacology.

Each ingredient is selected per traditional Unani compounding practice — warming botanicals for vitality, purified minerals for classical restorative use, and Kuchla Shuddha in a minimal, purified amount consistent with classical safety processing.

The formulation follows the classical Unani principle of combining complementary herbs and purified minerals rather than isolating a single active compound.
